How Does the PC BST HP Bonus Formula Work in Pokemon Arena 2D?
One of the most searched questions in Pokemon Arena 2D (pokemon arena bst bonus) is how catching and evolving Pokémon in The PC strengthens your spinning blades in the Arena.
In arena.js, every unassigned blade enters battle with 70 Base HP (BLADE_HP = 70). When you assign an owned Pokémon to one of the 18 elemental type slots in The PC, that blade’s icon changes to your Pokémon’s sprite and gains a player-only starting HP bonus calculated from the Pokémon’s official Base Stat Total (BST):
HP Bonus = max(1, min(8, round((BST - 175) / 70)))
Total Blade HP = 70 + HP Bonus

Verified BST HP Bonus Breakpoints Table
Because JavaScript’s Math.round() rounds at .5 (+35 BST above each step), here are the exact Base Stat Total thresholds required to hit every HP rung from +1 HP (71 HP) to +8 HP (78 HP):

How Do Leveling (1 KO = 1 Level) and PC Evolutions Work?
Every Pokémon you catch in the Safari Zone or choose as a starter enters your collection at Level 5 (START_LEVEL = 5, max Level 100).

1. Automatic Post-Match Level Evolutions
Whenever a blade wearing an assigned Pokémon scores a knockout (KO) inside the Arena, that Pokémon gains +1 Level per KO (addLevels(dex, kos)).
- If your Pokémon reaches or exceeds its evolution level (
evoLevel) at the end of a match, it evolves automatically on the post-match Evolution screen and updates your active PC type slot to the newly evolved form! - Even better: you keep the pre-evolution in your Pokédex (
tb-dex), and evolved forms inherit your carried level. - Bonus Evolution Easter Egg: Evolving Nincada (#290) by level automatically unlocks Shedinja (#292) for free (
evoBonuses)!
2. Evolution Stones, Link Cable & Soothe Bell in The Shop
Pokémon that evolve via elemental stones, trade items, or friendship do not evolve automatically from KOs. Instead, you purchase their required item in The Shop and click the evolution button directly on their card inside The PC:
| Evolution Item Tier | Base Shop Price | Per-Copy Surcharge | Included Items & Special Overrides |
|---|---|---|---|
Stage-2 Finishers (stage2) |
₽400 |
+50% per held copy |
Items that only evolve 2nd-stage Pokémon into their 3rd stage (e.g., Dubious Disc, Magmarizer, Electirizer, Protector, Reaper Cloth) |
Mixed Stage Items (mixed) |
₽550 |
+50% per held copy |
Classic Stones & Trade cables that evolve both basic and mid-stage lines (Water Stone, Thunder Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Sun Stone, Shiny Stone, Dusk Stone, Dawn Stone, Link Cable, King’s Rock, Soothe Bell) |
Stage-1 Lifters (stage1) |
₽700 |
+50% per held copy |
Items used exclusively on 1st-stage base Pokémon (e.g., Ice Stone, Metal Coat, Prism Scale for Milotic, Razor Claw for Weavile, Razor Fang for Gliscor, Up-Grade, Deep Sea Tooth/Scale) |
- Eevee Evolution Overrides (
EVO_OVERRIDES): In Pokemon Arena 2D, all eight Eeveelutions are obtainable in The PC using distinct items: Vaporeon (Water Stone), Jolteon (Thunder Stone), Flareon (Fire Stone), Espeon (Sun Stone), Umbreon (Moon Stone), Leafeon (Leaf Stone), Glaceon (Ice Stone), and Sylveon (Soothe Bell). - Level-Choice Branch Evolutions (
LEVEL_CHOICE): Tyrogue (Lv.20 Hitmonlee / Lv.25 Hitmonchan / Lv.30 Hitmontop), Wurmple (Lv.7 Silcoon or Cascoon), and Burmy (Lv.20 Wormadam or Mothim) let you choose each branch inside The PC once you hit the required level—and because the parent stays in your collection, you can unlock all branches!
How Does The Lab (Legendary & Mythical Boutique) Price Pokémon?
While the Safari Zone contains all ~312 non-legendary base evolution lines, the 51 Legendary and Mythical Pokémon across Gen 1–6 (Kanto through Kalos) are sold exclusively in The Lab.

The Lab calculates each Legendary’s price directly from its Base Stat Total using rarePrice(bst):
Lab Price (₽) = max(4000, round((5000 + (BST - 580) × 100) / 500) × 500)
₽4,000(Floor Tier): Phione (480 BST→+4 HP)₽5,000(580 BST Sub-Legends): Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Keldeo (+6 HPblade boost!)₽7,000(600 BST Mythicals & Trio Masters): Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Victini, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Landorus, Zygarde (+6 HPblade boost)₽13,000 – ₽14,000(660–670 BST Heavy Legends): Kyogre (670), Groudon (670), Regigigas (670), Slaking is Safari; Kyurem (660) (+7 HPblade boost!)₽15,000(680 BST Box Mascot Legends): Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Xerneas, Yveltal (+7 HPblade boost!)₽19,000(720 BST Ultimate Flex): Arceus (#493) — the only Pokémon in the game that grants the maximum+8 HP(78 HP) blade bonus for your Normal slot!
